EQUILIBRIUM

"We do not blackmail the public with emotions. Our dance is a set of well-rehearsed structures. I'm only interested in the system. "

Equilibrium is latest dance production of Tomas Danielis for Balet Moskva, where dealing with power and choice is a central theme. In this very physical show, dancers are subjected to set of games thus forced to resolve situations faced with, set their strategies and advance their life on stage.

This dance performance is part of trilogy about power on which Danielis is working in recent period. It is choreographic parkour based on game theories and it ventures into the depth of human beings and their motivations as charming and intriguing metaphor of life, where everyone of us is subjected to make a choice and take a path.

Balet Moscow web:

Performance "Equilibrium" is a new work of the choreographer from Slovakia, enfant terrible of the European contemporary dance of Thomas Danelis and the modern troupe of the theater "Ballet Moscow".

Equilibrium is the key concept of game theory.
This is the state to which the participants of the system aspire and for which they are ready to change their own strategy. It is to balance that the artists who are engaged in the play aspire.

"Equilibrium" is a group performance in which artists, exclusively with the help of dance, movement and physical influence of a friend on a friend, change the role of partners and change themselves. The former become slaves, outsiders are leaders.

"Equilibrium" is an example of a physical theater with a lot of duets, trios and group scenes in which the movement is explained by complex concepts - social dynamics, game theory, Nash equilibrium, revealing their essence and making it accessible to the unprepared spectator.
Choreographer Thomas Danielis created an honest and objective performance. There are no emotions and assessments in it. In May this year, we suggest that you make sure of this.
